The United Ireland rally due to be held in the Republic of Ireland tomorrow has gone to significant lengths to pretend their rally includes unionists, even publishing a video with a purported ‘reformed unionist’ Andrew Clarke.
It now transpires than Andrew Clarke is in fact an ardent republican. Here are some of his own social media posts….
In addition Mr Clarke only this week took to twitter to express his fury at the Orange Order QUB society. In this fit of supremacist rage he plainly forgot he is meant to be ‘in character’ as a unionist for the purpose of trying to deceive people into believing the United Ireland rally is supported by unionists.
Mr Clarke the ‘unionist’ said he was “genuinely sickened” by the QUB Orange Society stand at Queens and said he longed “for a day when this sort of carry on [unionist culture] can’t get a foot in the door”.
The United Ireland rally also includes persons who self-identify as journalists, and are afforded this description- and the veil of independence- by BBC NI.
It will be interesting to see whether the BBC still try to keep up the pretence, which is about as credible as Andrew the ‘unionist’
